Data-center politics now decide where AI capacity gets built, not whether the buildout happens

Google's $17B Wyoming project will use Bloom Energy fuel cells made in America, showing capital can route to power-rich, politically receptive sites. Kevin Hassett says any locality can reject a data center, while protesters entered a Microsoft site near Amsterdam. A Wedbush analyst expects capacity to get built despite regulation, though he acknowledges siting delays and credit pushback, with investor anxiety centered on a 2027-28 capex pause.

02

TSMC's memory move and KYEC's Rubin delay make HBM4 timing the AI hardware bottleneck

KYEC cut Q4 guidance on delays to a major GPU believed to be Nvidia's Rubin, caused by HBM4 yield issues at a memory supplier. Separately, TSMC is weighing advanced memory and 3D DRAM at Nvidia's request. Memory investors turned more bearish even as server DRAM remains hard to source, so the split is between qualification winners and commodity memory beta.

03

Crude's war premium is draining, leaving 2027 oversupply as the next price test

Fereidun Fesharaki puts crude fair value at $80-90 and sees $65-70 next year as war risk fades. Brent posted its biggest weekly drop since the COVID crash as Trump and Qatar's emir discussed an Iran peace deal, and oil fell below $100. Distillate inventories still sit at seasonal lows, so crude weakness and product tightness can coexist.

Themes of the session

?
Z-score shows how far this edition's mention count is above or below the theme's own average across 20 comparable earlier editions. +2.7σ means mentions are 2.7 standard deviations above that average — simply, the theme is being mentioned much more often than usual. It measures attention, not bullishness or expected return. Themes need at least 8 posts; gold begins at +2σ, and σ is hidden when history is too thin.

Hims & Hers

Jonah Lupton bought more HIMS after the Lilly agreement, arguing Retatrutide access matters more than Zepbound or Foundayo; BlackPanther said it built one-third of a long-term HIMS position. The deal puts Lilly medicines inside Hims at $149-$299 self-pay.

T. Rowe Price stays selective on AI after de-rating

Sebastien Page says the selloff was sentiment and crowded positioning, not a fundamental break, and remains constructive on AI demand over 12-18 months. He is slightly overweight large-cap growth with selective semiconductor and hyperscaler exposure after valuation compression.

The Compound fades data-center construction and Nvidia earnings risk

Dan Clifton avoids data-center exposure on political backlash and state permitting, while Michael Batnick warns Nvidia's cheap multiple hides earnings risk. They prefer healthcare and existing cloud capacity.

Matthew Sigel avoids neocloud debt, prefers landlord exposure

Matthew Sigel avoids CoreWeave on neocloud debt risk and sees landlord structures as safer, with miner-landlords valued as a trade that assumes no terminal value and data-center and power landlords backed by long-dated leases.
