Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains how Buzzberg collects, uses, and shares information when you use the website, account features, notifications, and related services. Buzzberg is in beta, and this policy may be updated as the product changes.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as email address, username, authentication provider, and profile settings.
  • Authentication data from email OTP, Google OAuth, and Apple Sign-In when you choose those methods.
  • Telegram identifiers if you link Telegram for notifications.
  • Product settings such as feeds, saved ideas, followed speakers, watchlists, and notification preferences.
  • Basic usage data such as page views, timestamps, request metadata, analytics events, anonymous visitor/session identifiers, and error logs.
  • Public market content that Buzzberg collects from third-party sources.

How we use information

  • To provide the dashboard, feeds, search, speaker pages, sentiment views, and portfolio features.
  • To authenticate users and protect accounts.
  • To send transactional login emails and requested Telegram notifications.
  • To improve data quality, debug issues, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
  • To analyze public market content with AI systems and display structured summaries.

Service providers and data processors

Buzzberg may use third-party providers for hosting, databases, authentication, notifications, analytics, error monitoring, AI processing, and market data. These may include Render, Hetzner, Neon PostgreSQL, Resend or SMTP email providers, Telegram, Google, Apple, Cloudflare Web Analytics, Sentry, DeepSeek, Google Gemini, Anthropic, Polygon, Finnhub, FRED, and other source or market-data APIs.

Data sent to AI providers may include public source text, extracted market context, prompts, and generated analysis. Account secrets and OTP codes should not be intentionally sent to AI providers.

Legal basis for processing

Depending on the feature and your location, Buzzberg may process information because it is needed to provide the service you requested, because you consented to a specific use such as notifications, because we have a legitimate interest in operating, securing, improving, and debugging the service, or because we need to comply with legal obligations.

Data processing

Buzzberg uses infrastructure, analytics, notification, AI, and market-data providers that may operate from different locations. When information is processed by service providers, it is used only for the purposes described in this policy, such as operating the service, authentication, notifications, analytics, security, AI processing, and support. Data protection rules may vary depending on where processing takes place.

Cookies and sessions

Buzzberg uses cookies and similar session mechanisms for login, security, preferences, product analytics, and basic product functionality. Product analytics may use first-party anonymous visitor/session identifiers so we can understand site usage before and after signup without storing raw IP addresses. Browser analytics may be collected when enabled, and browser or network logs may also be created by hosting and infrastructure providers.

Buzzberg does not currently use cookies to sell personal information. If future advertising or cross-site tracking features are added, this policy should be updated before those features are launched.

Retention

We retain account data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain audit or abuse-prevention records. Public market content may be retained for historical analysis.

Your choices

You can adjust notification preferences in your profile, unlink Telegram, or contact us to request account or data deletion where applicable. If email subscription alerts are introduced in the future, they should include an unsubscribe option.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also be able to opt out of certain uses of personal information if they are offered in the future. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Security

Buzzberg uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Children's privacy

Buzzberg is not directed to people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to Buzzberg, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
