01

Hyperscalers rallied and neoclouds fell as voters backed local curbs on new data centers

Daniel Koss counted 33 local measures restricting data centers passed or leading, with only one pro-build measure winning, and cited Wells Fargo putting 27% of planned US data-center gigawatts in Texas. Premarket, Newsquawk showed CRWV down 6.2% and IREN down 5.4%; in early trade Amazon rose 7% and Microsoft 5.7%, per DeItaone. Koss argues already powered and permitted capacity just got pricing power.

02

Treasury's refunding committee sees larger coupon auctions likely in the second half of FY2027

Per the refunding text posted by @ces921, members agreed that increases in coupon auction sizes would likely be appropriate in the second half of FY2027, with additional issuance concentrated in the 2- to 10-year sector, and discussed potential changes to 20- and 30-year issuance. @ces921 notes the statement dropped the words "at least" from its reference to keeping duration supply constant, and that AI debt is migrating into the same 2s-10s sector.

03

Arista guided 2027 revenue to about $18.5B with AI networking doubling to about $7B

Arista's first 2027 guide, given 14 months early, is about $18.5B, up 38-40%, with AI networking going from $3.5B to about $7B, per Daniel Koss. Astera Labs' CEO sees a path to doubling silicon dollar content per XPU with each new generation, with Scorpio switches already above a $1B annualized run rate. Newsquawk showed ANET up 4.5% premarket while AMD reversed a lot of its post-earnings strength.

04

YMTC and SK hynix's Solidigm IPOs were reported paused while a JPMorgan note sees memory EPS cuts as unlikely within six months

@zephyr_z9 posted that YMTC paused its IPO due to a weakening market and that SK hynix paused the Solidigm IPO for the same reason; Jukan countered that Solidigm's IPO fell through because of backlash from Korean retail investors. A JPMorgan memory update posted by @paradislabs says the market anticipates a downcycle as early as 1H27, but EPS cuts are unlikely in the next six months, with LTAs and prepayments buffering earnings.
