01

Intel guided fourth-quarter revenue to $15-16 billion against about $17 billion expected and the stock fell about 29%

Intel guided fourth-quarter revenue to $15-16 billion and adjusted EPS to $0.25, against about $17 billion and $0.43 expected. Bloomberg called the roughly 29% fall its deepest single-day decline on record. Per @the_ai_investor, 17 analysts cut targets; BofA moved to Neutral with a $100 target, citing fourth-quarter PC shipments down 25% to 30% quarter over quarter. The same post notes third-quarter data center and AI revenue of $7.3 billion, up 78%.

02

Anthropic may receive a BB-range rating after its IPO, per the FT, and Amazon set up supplier financing of up to $80 billion

Per the Financial Times, relayed by @DeItaone, Blackstone warned investors that Anthropic may receive a BB-range rating after its IPO; its $63 billion Project North Star financing relies heavily on guarantees from Broadcom. Bloomberg reported that Amazon set up supplier financing arrangements to borrow as much as $80 billion against hardware it buys. @ces921 notes hyperscaler credit spreads 15bp wider against 2bp for IG and Amazon CDS out 13bp.

03

Marvell's Lumentum deal split optics voices between a laser-supply grab and a short on Marvell

@jasonschips argues Nvidia had locked up Lumentum's capacity for scale-up CPO, leaving Marvell unable to provide scale-up optics in its ASIC program, so Marvell bought Lumentum, and adds that Marvell's Celestial memory-pooling solution needs a ton of lasers. @insane_analyst called the deal dogshit and has shorted enough Marvell to cover a Lumentum long. @kevinxu listed Marvell as rumored to buy Lumentum with no premium.

04

Quanta Services grew revenue 57% with about $64 billion of backlog, and TheValueist sees equipment as the new constraint

TheValueist's read of Quanta's third-quarter call: revenue grew 57%, backlog is approximately $64 billion and quarterly free cash flow was $1.2 billion. TheValueist argues the power-infrastructure investment cycle is broadening while its principal constraint shifts from construction labor toward equipment availability, procurement and energization. That favors critical electrical equipment, while infrastructure owners must commit cash earlier and wait for assets to generate returns.
