01

Meta's $25 billion stock sale ended five times oversubscribed, with Nvidia investing $3 billion and AMD $1 billion

Meta's $25 billion stock sale ended five times oversubscribed, per Bloomberg. Nvidia said it will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering as Meta expands deployment of Nvidia infrastructure, including Vera Rubin and Vera CPUs. AMD will invest $1 billion as it expands its Meta partnership, per the Wall Street Journal, which describes the offering as part of Meta's plan to raise up to $95 billion through stock sales.

02

Nvidia lowered Vera Rubin's listed HBM4 bandwidth to 19.2 TB/s from 22 TB/s, about 13%

@svtrivo notes that Vera Rubin's per-GPU HBM4 bandwidth on Nvidia's datasheet went from 22 TB/s to 19.2 TB/s, with capacity at 288GB and NVFP4 compute unchanged. Their interpretation, not an Nvidia statement, is that a lower pin target widens the pool of stacks that pass qualification and gives Micron an easier bar. @damnang2 says AMD's MI455X now leads per-GPU HBM bandwidth by 21%.

03

Boeing shares fell 10% after it cut its delivery goal, while third-quarter revenue beat estimates

Boeing reported third-quarter revenue of $24.19 billion versus $23.84 billion expected and free cash flow of $464 million, while adjusted core EPS of -$0.34 missed the -$0.21 estimate. Reuters reported that Boeing will not reach its 737 production target until early 2027, and the shares extended their drop to 10% after it cut its delivery goal. The CEO said Boeing still lacks FAA authorization to complete 777X flight test certification.

04

Morgan Stanley's Mike Wilson sees the semiconductor index another 10% to 15% lower into mid-November

Wilson calls the equity correction a late-stage midcycle transition rather than the start of a prolonged bear market, but says the index may still need one more drawdown. He names three clearing events: AI-related supply and credit concerns, the midterm elections and tightening liquidity. He sees the semiconductor index another 10% to 15% lower into mid-November and is constructive on buying a sharp downdraft in quality names.
