01

SpaceX is seeking at least 80,000 US cell sites, lifting tower owners and hitting carriers

Bloomberg reported that SpaceX is looking to secure or lease at least 80,000 US cell sites, a step toward becoming a fourth national wireless carrier. Tower owners gained and wireless carriers fell, and CNBC said telecom stocks sold off sharply. Per Seeking Alpha, 80,000 sites is half of the 158,500 US cell towers. Bloomberg described SpaceX's connectivity business as sizable, fast-growing and highly profitable.

02

Server DRAM spot and GPU rental prices rose about 15% in a month while AI stocks fell

A Tessara tracker posted by @tengyanAI shows 32GB DDR5 server memory up 15% and GPU rental prices across six providers up 15% over the past month, while NAND wafer spot fell 7%; tengyanAI reads the selloff as a positioning unwind rather than a collapse in demand. Per @svtrivo, Jensen Huang said at GTC Berlin he does not see a memory glut. Western Digital's CEO said AI storage demand remains durable.

03

CrowdStrike's CEO expects a wave of PHP breaches as cybersecurity stocks rallied

George Kurtz told CNBC that long-standing PHP vulnerabilities are becoming easier to exploit as AI lowers the skill barrier, and that older internet-facing appliances will be patched more slowly than modern corporate systems. Unchained's Uneasy Money described two critical PHP remote-code-execution bugs in software used by WordPress, admin dashboards and government or banking sites, with Cloudflare writing custom rules while administrators patch. Bloomberg's closing coverage said cybersecurity names rallied.

04

Amazon scrapped a Northern Virginia data center plan after resident opposition, per WaPo

Per the Washington Post, relayed by Unusual Whales, Amazon scrapped a plan to build data centers in Northern Virginia after widespread opposition from residents; Zerohedge framed it as Amazon abandoning data centers in Loudoun County. CNBC's All-America Economic Survey found significant local opposition to AI data centers, and 52% of the public want advanced AI development to pause until regulation is established. CNBC said local resistance could slow the buildout.
