Gaetano is a pseudonymous X account (@Gaetano2026, formerly @crux_capital_) whose author writes a Substack newsletter of the same name on photonics, optical networking, AI infrastructure and physical AI. Published since November 2025, the newsletter calls its author an independent equity analyst and says it is not meant as a trading service or a place for short-term stock calls; in April 2026 the author wrote that it had become a full-time job. A September 2026 interview described the author as an investor who studies photonics companies, not an engineer or industry insider. The photonics coverage follows the optical supply chain from indium phosphide substrates and lasers to transceivers, co-packaged optics, networking equipment and test tools, with deep dives and earnings-call breakdowns on companies such as Lumentum, Coherent, Applied Optoelectronics, Ciena and Nokia. Since May 2026 the physical-AI coverage has mapped robotics, perception and edge-AI companies layer by layer.
