The one-month rolling correlation between the WTI contract and the 10-year Treasury yield is 0.96, the strongest positive relationship since the middle of 2019. The 10-year surged as much as 11 basis points intraday, only the sixth time this year the benchmark has risen 10 points or more in a single session.
