Forward Guidance
Higher yields remain the pain trade.
DCP says the bond and STIR markets cannot flip to a favorable long until conditions materially change, so the pain trade remains higher yields. He points to SOFR pricing no cuts until December 2029 and four hikes, AI capex, diesel and fiscal inflation, and geopolitical stalemate keeping upward pressure on yields. He sees the 30-year potentially reaching 6%, the front end around 5-5.5%, and ZB breaking 103/103-12 as a path toward par, roughly 6%.
