Bullish on small midcap stocks long-term.
Private equity and credit unwinding could create demand for small midcap public companies due to liquidity, reporting advantages, and as an alternative to private investments.

"Cyclical broadening in the market is one of those [themes] and that is what we are doing... It means small caps and mid-caps relative to large caps." Assuming the economy avoids a recession and the oil shock is absorbed, the market rally will broaden out from mega-cap tech into smaller, cyclically sensitive companies that are currently trading at relatively cheaper valuations. LONG because small and mid-caps offer better relative value if the macroeconomic expansion continues. The oil shock translates into a severe growth scare or recession, which typically disproportionately hurts smaller, cyclical companies.

The NASDAQ is down, yet more stocks are advancing than declining. 97% of energy stocks are above their 200-day moving average. This is a "Market of the Many." The concentration risk of the Mag-7 is unwinding, but capital isn't leaving the market; it is rotating into the "average stock" (Equal Weight), Industrials, and Midcaps. Long Equal Weight (RSP) and Industrials (XLI) over the QQQ. A recession that drags down cyclical sectors.

Invesco notes a "rebound in traditional industries" and argues that Mid/Small-Cap Value is the best way to participate in the "broad rotation." Citizens Private Wealth is "Overweight Value" and constructive on the macro backdrop (growth rising, no recession). With Tech valuations stretched and facing AI disruption fears, capital is rotating into "Real Economy" sectors (Financials, Industrials, Materials) that benefit from a steepening yield curve and steady GDP growth. LONG. This is a classic late-cycle rotation trade supported by "Goldilocks" economic data. A resurgence of inflation or a hard landing would hurt cyclicals.
