Cheap solar displaces coal globally.
Chinese solar panels have become cheap enough to drive adoption without policy support; Pakistan went from almost no solar to one-third of its electricity from solar, making it a top market for Chinese panels. The trend is spreading globally via Chinese clean-tech exports of solar and batteries, reducing grid and coal-plant demand and pressuring fossil-fuel producers, including China's coal investments.
