Summary

The video examines whether the Korean stock market has hit a bottom after a sharp selloff driven by semiconductor worries, NAND oversupply fears, and extreme volatility with multiple circuit breakers. Executive Director Park Se-ik sees Samsung and SK Hynix at a short-term floor, KOSDAQ completing a C-wave bottom, and KOSPI support at 6,300. Analyst Burger highlights foreign investors ending their selling spree and shifting to net buying, suggesting a potential rebound next week if US rates and oil stabilize.

  • Market selloff attributed to AI/semiconductor demand fears, NAND oversupply, and leveraged ETF unwinds
  • Park Se-ik identifies Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix as near short-term floor at 250k and 200k won
  • KOSDAQ shows an ABC correction pattern with C-wave nearly matching A-wave, signaling a potential bottom
  • KOSPI 6,300 viewed as a likely bottom barring a US recession
  • Foreign investors recorded their first significant net buying week after months of heavy selling, hinting at a selling climax
  • Burger expects KOSPI to rally if US 10-year yield and oil prices stabilize
  • Unprecedented number of circuit breakers raises caution about new market behavioral patterns
  • Psychological exhaustion and capitulation echo Templeton's adage: buy when pessimism is at its worst

Samsung, SK Hynix at short-term floor
Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are trading at about 5x forward P/E based on next year's earnings, which already reflects a worst-case 50% earnings cut. Even if NAND goes into loss and only HBM stays profitable, P/E would expand to 10x. At 250,000 won for Samsung and 200,000 won for SK Hynix, the stocks are at a short-term floor.

KOSPI 6,300 is the bottom
Foreign investors' selling climax appears to be ending. After a record YTD sell of 188.5 trillion won, their net selling is rapidly shrinking. This week they bought 2.9 trillion won net, with a 3.4 trillion won single-day buy on Wednesday, the largest since May 4. If US 10-year yield and oil stabilize, the foreign buying trend may continue, leading to a strong KOSPI rebound next week.

KOSDAQ 150 buy on C-wave bottom
The KOSDAQ is completing a C-wave of an Elliott Wave ABC correction. The C-wave decline is now similar in size to the A-wave decline. Extreme despair and capitulation suggest a bottoming process. He bought KOSDAQ 150 as a direct trade on this view.
