Why does the market believe Trump’s tweets?
I am trading every minute of regular market hours and I see a lot of news generated price action. For the last 18 months the level of algo moves on Trump tweets has been surreal, but it wasn’t until the Iran “conflict” got started that it became absolutely ridiculous.
You reading this right now know that every “deal” tweet is bogus. I know it. Everyone knows it. Why does the market buy it?
He tweeted about a deal again today. It was so blatantly obvious he was trying to pump up the market with AI, datacenter, Iran deal, etc tweets all morning.
And yet the algos eat it up. They do every time.
Why?
