Student with $2-3k, looking for feedback on asset allocation

Student with $2-3k, looking for feedback on asset allocation I'm a full-time student with $2,000 to $3,000 to invest with a 10+ year time horizon and no liquidity needs. My current thinking on a low-cost, passive-aligned portfolio breaks down like this: • 40% VOO (core S&P 500) • 40% SCHD (dividend growth) • 20% individual stocks (tech and energy sectors) I'm wondering whether this split actually makes sense or if I'm overcomplicating things. I'm specifically questioning whether adding SCHD adds enough value over a pure total-market approach to justify the extra complexity or if that 20% individual stock piece is just unnecessary risk for someone without the time to evaluate companies, or if something as simple as 100% VOO or even a traditional three-fund portfolio is the right approach for someone starting out with a long time horizon. Any input on whether my current allocation direction is on track or if I should just stick to the most passive approach possible is greatly appreciated.
