Hey guys, wanted to share something we’ve been experimenting with for a while. Hey guys, wanted to share something. Basically, We originally tried building a model for crime pattern, but it didn’t work as expected. Instead, it kept giving us these vague predictions around geopolitics, global events, and financial markets. one of our data scientists spent some time trying to understand what was happening. He couldn’t fully explain it either, but he pointed out that what the model was saying might not actually be vague it was just predicting things we weren’t looking for. So instead of scrapping it, we decided to see what it could actually do. After retraining, more data, and more compute, we eventually tuned it for stock markets since they’re relatively easy to evaluate. We’ve been testing it across financial research for nearly a year now, and it’s been performing surprisingly well on short-term stocks, especially in Indian markets.
