AI Summary
Summary
The author argues that the AI boom is backed by real adoption and revenue, unlike the space sector, which they view as a bubble driven by speculation and unprofitable companies.
They specifically call out RKLB (Rocket Lab) and ASTS (AST SpaceMobile) as lacking operational impact or revenue, and question SpaceX’s lofty valuation despite limited consumer adoption.
Quality assessment: Speculative opinion with surface-level reasoning; not well-researched DD, but a coherent bearish thesis on space stocks relative to AI.

I mean we can see AI happening all around us, with perhaps 200m people or more using it on a daily basis and the biggest adopters of this are just like companies with positive revenue, crazy earnings yoy. It is changing the way we have been living for good or bad.
Whereas most of the hottest space stocks are not even turning over a revenue, are not even operational for the most parts or impacting people on a daily basis now. It's all just selling on possibilities now. Stocks like RKLB won't even impact the common folk at all. ASTS still have to wait till it's operational. SpaceX is already operational with starlink yea, and now with their massive valuation which doesn't make sense financially and honestly don't hear of anyone around me using it.
So what do you yall think?
Author notes RKLB “won’t even impact the common folk at all” and implies no meaningful revenue or operations. If space stocks are in a bubble, a short on a high-multiple, non-revenue name like RKLB could benefit from a reversion. Bearish sentiment on space hype with no current profitability supports a short position. Success in satellite launches or government contracts could drive growth; short squeeze risk is high in small-cap space names. TICKER - ASTS - SHORT | confidence: 0.55 | sentiment: -0.70 Speaker: u/meemeemoomoo5 Thesis: Author states ASTS “still have to wait till it's operational,” implying no current revenue. Operational delay and high expectations create downside risk if timelines slip. Pre-revenue satellite telecom company exposed to space bubble sentiment. Major partnership (e.g., with T-Mobile) could accelerate revenue; regulatory approval or launch success could spike price.
