What’s more important? Actually enjoying life or just hoarding everything for when you’re 70?

This sub and most of life is full of “why would you do that when you could just invest in \_\_\_\_\_”. I have this conversation with people and I always ask why? What am I saving for? What am I sacrificing for? Investing so I can say I have hundreds of thousands of dollars that I’ll never use? It’s just numbers on a screen at that point. You’ll only be 24 running around Europe once, spontaneous 29 year old once, 35 in a super car once, so why waste it just have numbers on a screen that you’ll more than likely die with
