The SEC requires funds with at least $100m assets under management to publish their holdings 45 days after the end of the quarter. This is a great source for us to see what the truly great investors are holding. Keep in mind that all movements that you will see happened in the previous quarter.
I am only tracking fund managers who buy assets to hold them for longer than just the next quarter. This way, we can actually learn from their movies. If you try to replicate the portfolio of a trader, you will only see positions that he/she might have already sold.
Amongst those that I track are AltaRock Partners, Dev Kantesaria, Polen Capital Management, David Tepper, Chris Hohn, Value Act, Pat Dorsey, Chuck Akre, and many more.
This quarter, there were two clear buys and three decisive sells:
On the buy side, Meta and Amazon stood out as multiple investors bought them.
On the sell side, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Intuit saw action from more than one investor. Especially, Alphabet was sold or reduced by many of the top investors.
