Coles notes:
1. New product out called ChatQLM. The ChatGPT of quantum. If this gains any type of mainstream traction it could explode.
2. 30 million shares out now. 40 million fully diluted. Warrants and options (most strike price around $1.50, some higher) bring in $13 million in cash upon exercise. $3 million cash in bank now. Claims to be profitable. Dilution risk is minimal outside of derivatives and any possible future share-based acquisition.
3. Of the 30 million shares, 10 million owned by CEO's holding company, another couple million by other insiders and a few more million by "diamond hands" investors. Current float less than 20 million and could be as little as 10 million.
4. Current MC of $36 million is paltry compared to other quantum plays including QNC (\~$1 billion), BTQ (\~$1 billion), ONE (\~$70 million) and QESS (\~$50 million), the latter two QBTQ has recently announced deals with. This difference is particularly stark given that QBTQ has a revenue generating business model in the market today.
5. Minimal operating/stock listing history as a recent RTO. Could be seen as a good or bad thing depending on your perspective. Not a of of junk overhang from legacy bagholders of the old business. Considering most TSXV/CSE CEOs have a history of blowing through investor capital with minimal to show for it, a fresh face in Dr. Khan is a good thing imo.
So the gamble is that ChatQLM gains traction and mainstream attention. Considering the low float, well, enough people can do the calculation on this one. The floor is that the company claims to be generating revenue/profit from the enterprise business and would be stupid to put revenue and profit forecasts in "Year 1" if that wasn't at least a bit true or headed that way on January 20, 2026. The risk to the floor is if all the other quantum plays tank out, but if that happens realistically imo most high beta stocks will tank.
Some of you may have seen my name around on other boards. I did grow my follower count to over 2,500 in a few months of active posting a year ago for good reason. MATE has been a disappointment (still hopeful), QESS a great success:
