I just started investing in December 2025. I honestly wish I started sooner, but I know it’s better than nothing and I’m glad I finally started.
I’m trying to improve and be smarter with it moving forward, so I wanted to ask for advice.
Right now I’m a 1099 (self-employed), so I don’t have a 401(k). I’m mainly doing Roth contributions, and once I max my Roth I’ve been putting money into a Traditional IRA and converting it to Roth.
My question is: is it better to keep doing the IRA conversion strategy, or would it make more sense to just invest the extra money straight into my brokerage account instead?
Any tips to help me build this the right way would be appreciated.
