I just noticed that my VUSXX dividends were reinvested on 12/31 (which is also the record date), but the official payable date is 1/2/26. For tax purposes, will this income be taxable for 2025 or 2026? Does anyone know how this will be treated?

VTI or VOO is a choice that truly doesn’t matter. But the year is now 2026, and the S&P 500 is a long-outdated investment for buy & hold purposes.
