Non-invasive BCI scaling could reach trillion-dollar scale.
Abstract seeded Conduit, a brain-computer interface company, about nine months ago, when few people in Silicon Valley cared about BCI. Conduit reads brain signals with a non-invasive wearable instead of an implant like Neuralink's. Its model improves with more data: it reached about 80% accuracy in predicting typed thoughts on a small dataset, and it now has 30,000 hours of human training data, with a million-hour run planned. If scaling laws hold, he sees a device worn over the ear that turns thoughts into actions by an agent, which could be a trillion-dollar outcome. The latest round was heavily oversubscribed (13 term sheets) and now prices in that potential. He does not say whether Abstract still holds the stake.
