Securities ETF: 7.5% yield, deep value.
Park wants to buy the KODEX Securities ETF as soon as his salary comes in, as a personal long-term holding. He argues that securities firms will still be making good money 100 years from now, which makes Korean financial and brokerage stocks the equity equivalent of a Gangnam apartment: the kind of asset you buy cheaply when the mood is fearful and pessimistic. Brokerage stocks have fallen about 60% (Mirae down more than 70%), and Kiwoom has posted about eight straight monthly down candles. He says the ETF's roughly 7.5% dividend yield pays you to wait, and he expects it to break its prior high again within 2-3 years, so investors get both capital gains and dividends. At current valuations he says he wants to buy securities stocks aggressively.

Brokers gain from fees on US trading.
Park says the securities industry is clearly improving and that brokerage stocks, now down more than 50%, offer an investment opportunity again. Korean retail investors keep shifting money into US stocks: about $20bn of gross US buying last month, roughly 36 trillion won. That generates trading commissions and currency-exchange fees for brokers, and those earnings will grow again when the bull market returns. He regretted not owning a securities ETF properly and said he bought some KODEX Securities ETF in his personal account the week before last. He also recalled telling a junior to buy Kiwoom Securities three years ago at 80,000 won, and suggested the current slump may be offering that kind of chance again. He added the compliance disclaimer 'don't buy, I'm not telling you to buy.' The ETF purchase and his bullish view support LONG. The Kiwoom mention is mainly an anecdote, so it stays WATCH.

Korean securities oversold, buy recovery
The rumor of Meta cutting memory orders has been declared resolved by Bank of America, calling it unfounded. Meta will continue aggressively adopting premium memory chips like HBM, LPDDR, and next-gen solutions. Worries about cycle peak from the Yongin semiconductor cluster are premature; the project is long-term and flexible. SEMI warned the US Treasury against pressuring memory makers, as it could disrupt supply. Therefore, the sharp selloff in Samsung Electronics and SK hynix was overdone, and a recovery is underway.
