Citing a Sept. 26 Goldman Sachs report, a post says a US diesel export ban would initially lower US prices by 25 cents/gallon per week, about 4% from the current $6.50/gal, while raising European wholesale prices by $3/barrel, or about 2%. Releases of European strategic diesel reserves might offset about half of the European increase. The US, the largest global diesel exporter, is considering curbs as the US-Israel war with Iran has curbed Middle East supplies, and the Platts-assessed US Gulf Coast Export ULSD price hit an all-time high of $4.7833/gal on Sept. 16.

Quantifies the cross-regional price impact of a potential policy intervention in a tight diesel market, a direct input for refiners, shippers, and European distillate consumers.
Watch Whether the US actually imposes export curbs and whether US Gulf Coast ULSD prices retreat from the Sept. 16 record as Goldman models.

Ahead of Micron's fiscal Q4 report, a post cites the last 10-Q (quarter ended 28 May) showing Mobile and Client revenue of $11.52bn at 87.3% gross margin versus 24.2% a year earlier, while the unit's bit shipments fell and revenue rose 254%/190% primarily on higher ASPs. Cloud Memory had the lowest gross margin of the three large units at 83.5%.

If margin expansion is price-driven rather than volume-driven, the durability of Micron's earnings power depends on supply discipline holding; a pricing rollover would hit the highest-margin unit hardest.
Watch Micron's fiscal Q4 unit disclosures and any commentary on MCBU bit shipments and ASP trajectory; a reversal in MCBU pricing would invalidate the margin story.
