VUSXX vs Cash Plus account
I'm trying to understand why the VUSXX 7 day SEC yield (3.7%) seems to be yielding significantly less than the Cash Plus account with interest of 3.35%.
I have my emergency fund in a cash plus account. Some I left as cash and the rest (4x) is invested in VUSXX (within the cash plus account). Its only been about 2 months since I opened this account.
Based on the numbers above I would expect VUSXX to return about 4x vs the cash because the rates are similar and it has 4x the principal. But it's only returned a little over double.
Am I misreading what the yield means? Will this average out over time? What am I missing?
