If Valar Atomics is worth $6B, $OKLO is an absolute steal

Valar Atomics is reportedly in talks to raise a new funding round at a **$6 billion valuation**. For comparison, OKLO currently trades at a market cap of roughly $7 billion. The public market is valuing OKLO only modestly above an early-stage private startup, despite OKLO having: \- A significantly more mature regulatory position. \- An 18 GW commercial pipeline with signed long-term power agreements, 1.2GW binding with Meta. \- Multiple DOE awards and strategic partnerships. \- A growing fuel recycling and radioisotope business. \- Billions of dollars in cash to execute its roadmap. Valar deserves credit for reaching an important milestone with its recent Ward 250 demonstration- generating electricity from an advanced reactor to power an NVIDIA AI system. But it’s an early, small-scale proof-of-concept, not a commercial deployment capable of supplying meaningful data center power. The fact that private investors are assigning Valar a \~$6B valuation makes OKLO’s current valuation gap incredibly difficult to justify. OKLO is entirely focused on commercial deployment, commands one of the largest pipelines in the industry, and has spent years advancing the Aurora design through rigorous regulatory milestones and customer development. Private markets always command a premium for future potential, but valuing Valar at nearly the same level as OKLO today feels entirely disconnected from the execution curve. OKLO has multiple revenue streams, an active site use permit at INL, a massive customer pipeline, and real institutional backing. Right now, the public market is pricing OKLO like a pre-revenue startup rather than a company positioned to be a major clean power supplier for the AI era. If private nuclear valuations are setting this new floor, OKLO at $7B is a massive anomaly that's hard to defend on the low end. Valar's raise proves that capital is flooding into advanced nuclear and placing significant value on the future of the sector. The real question is how much longer the public markets can ignore OKLO’s massive head start.
