Can someone help me understand this? Both are commodity chip manufacturers. Both have benefited from the agentic boom, that requires CPU + RAM in addition to all the GPUs provided by Nvidia.
But Micron is trading at a forward P/E of around 10. Whereas amd is trading at 50.
What am I missing here? I realize p/e does not tell the full story because back in the days, AVGO used to have a really high P/E but that was accounting magic and not a real number.
They both have similar market cap but MU has 4X the revenue and 2X profit margin.
