I’m heavily invested in Semi stocks and torn on what to do. I generally plan to hold long term (3-5+ years) but it’s hard not to sell at these inflated prices. For instance, I’m holding MRVL, ALAB, ASML and have unrealized gains between 200-500%. I’m a believer in the future of these companies, but they’re heavily overvalued at the moment.
I’m getting flashbacks to 2021, where I had huge gains and on a few stocks and decided to hold, and they ended up bottoming out in 2022 and never really recovered. Granted, a lot of those stocks were shit companies that benefited from the post-COVID market boom.
Anyways, leaning towards selling a portion of my shares(\~50%), ones that I’ve held over 1 year for the long term capital gains, and holding the rest. Thoughts?
