spacex priced at $135/share, raised $75b, sold 555.56m shares, and came out around a $1.77t valuation.
the public ticker gets the attention. the physical chain behind it is less clean and probably more useful to track across a few buckets.
starlink already reaches customers across 164 countries, territories and markets. its texas factory was producing around 15,000 kits per day and more than 70,000 kits per week. that is a lot of terminals, antennas, wiring, factories, launch infrastructure, power systems and heavy equipment.
my simple materials watchlist for this theme:
FCX - large copper exposure, easy name for people who want direct copper sensitivity.
TECK - canada base metals / copper angle, with a cleaner north america supply chain fit.
HBM - copper-gold producer, plus the copper mountain context in BC.
BHP / RIO - diversified mining exposure, less pure copper but more broad materials coverage.
CAT - not a miner, but mining equipment and heavy machinery usually sit close to any long-cycle supply buildout.
different bucket:
NRED / NREDF, KDK / KDKCF, BIG / BADEF, CAM / CAMNF - earlier-stage copper / copper-gold explorers. these are not producers. more about target progress, drilling, district context and whether future supply gets found.
tldr: spacex is the headline, but the hardware scale keeps pulling the discussion back to copper, aluminum, equipment, power and mining supply.
