Complete beginner here. Moving everything to a Fidelity CMA so I'm not funding my debit card with an investment account, decided I should try my hand at day trading. Maybe it's gambling, maybe it's not. I've wasted a lot more than $100 for less of a learning experience.
For a week I scoured every old reddit post to learn everything I could about day trading. The most common advice seems to be "limit your losses" and "be patient." Splendid. I grabbed a sticky note and filled every inch with the word "patience." I was ready.
There's not a whole lot of options for an account with $100. MRVL was shooting up to $300 and SPCE was... that's right! Options! I saw someone bragging about making 10x on a PFE call, let's look at PFE! Looking at the 5-day and 1M chart, they seem to be trading on the high end of the range. Seems unsustainable. Put option it is.

I have successfully beat the S&P500. I am a 1% day trader. I am a mess. Wow was that a trip.
Regards, you have my respect. I can't do what you guys do. This one trade has taken so much mental energy and sleep deprivation to pull the trigger, and then I kept changing the ask price based on $0.01 fluctuations. I had a life-changing $31 on the line (I forgot to set a stop loss) for a grand total of 2 hours and I felt the highs of an Olympic medal and the lows of a termination letter. This experience has taught me that I am not, in fact, him. I'm sorry I ever doubted you Plain Bagel.
I will be going full port FXAIX from now until retirement. I've learned my lesson and to celebrate the occasion, I will use my winnings to get a biggie bag for lunch. Thank you r/smallstreetbets. It was a fun ride.
Now I've just gotta close the chart that shows all the gains I missed out on...
