AI Summary
Summary
The author holds a 17.6% position in Micron ($MU) with an average cost of $259, considering adding more after a large rally, citing a forward P/E of ~9 and AI tailwinds.
The thesis is a contrarian value play: MU was bought when forward P/E was 4-5, and the author believes it remains undervalued despite the run-up.
Quality assessment: Speculation with some fundamental reasoning (P/E, AI demand), but lacks detailed financial projections or margin-of-safety analysis beyond headline metrics.

Hi guys , I did but MU ( Micron ) as a contrarian play when it had forward p/e of 4-5 and every one through its cyclical , it’s 17.6% of my Portifolio now and my average price is 259 USD
Planning to hold though till upcoming earnings , most of the previous earnings they did beat
Question is this , I do have 5% cash sitting duck and I was looking for a similar play like mu last year
Couldn’t find any , I go to the mu stock group and I see all the guys there stating it’s just starting and it will hit 1000 mark
Do you think I shall add here after this massive run , it’s still has a ridiculous 9 forward p/e with every single report we are in a massive ai run
Thinking out loud , deploy capital now or wait
Didn’t want to ask in the MU group since all the guys there will say definitely jump in
MU trades at ~9x forward P/E while benefiting from AI-driven memory demand; the author’s cost basis is $259, and earnings have consistently beaten. Despite the stock’s recent run, the valuation remains low relative to growth, creating a potential entry if the market continues to re-rate memory cycle players upward. The author is considering adding to an already overweight position, implying belief that MU’s upside from AI memory demand is not fully priced in. Cyclical nature of memory; peak cycle risk; crowded trade (community notes “everyone buying”); potential mean reversion if AI investment slows or supply glut emerges.
