Trying to understand something in hindsight.
Back in 2021, I bought into a few EV names like Lordstown and Nikola thinking EVs were the future and I didn’t want to miss the next Tesla. Fast forward and I got absolutely wrecked. Ended up losing about $80,000.
Looking back, I’m trying to figure out what actually killed those stocks.
The reason I’m asking is because AI stocks right now feel kind of similar. Huge runups, big narratives, tons of excitement. I’m honestly hesitant to touch them because I feel like I’ve seen this movie before.
For those who’ve been through multiple cycles, what were the real warning signs back then? And are we seeing the same setup now with AI or is this actually different?
