Do the charts for decent companies usually look pretty good on the 6mo+ ?

I'm pretty new to the market. I'm asking here because you guy seem to not eat as many crayons as the other subs. Almost every time I see something I may want to invest in the 6 month chart looks like it is due for a correction. I got in the silver late then lost most of the profits when they tanked. This is probably a useless post. Oh well
