It used to be the stock market was a real gauge of the economy.... but today we have:
1. No new jobs... and the strong prospect of a jobs apocalypse just around the corner thanks to AI.
2. Tons of people struggling (you can see it everywhere) and basic metrics like late car payments and mortgage payments show this...
3. U.S. Government borrowing completely out of control...
Yet we're all time highs... Would this be the case, say in the 90s?
Is it billionaires manipulating/propping up the market for their own purposes? Off shore money??
Just wondering what the prevailing thoughts on this are...
