What does $180b capex buy?

Apologies if this is stupid but I’m not in tech so can someone explain to me (in as much detail as you like) exactly what in the world such an ungodly amount of spending buys GOOG? I understand very generally it’s ’AI related’ ‘data centres’ etc etc but what’s the detailed answer? Cause doubling spend from an already record high number, when just 5 years ago the figure was like $20b seems incredible.
