I dunno about you but I find it all quite amusing how recursive it all is. Tech and financiers jumped onto another Metaverse-like trend and want us to justify it to soothe their egos. People keep comparing the rise of generative AI to invention of the internet and the dot com bust. Instead, maybe it might be more like the introduction of the Word processor. It made some roles redundant but jt took time for everyone to get used to it and it boosts everyone’s productivity but still needs humans to actually use it.
We literally need a new type of device with AI built in for us to use it but no one has figured out what that is yet. Even if it’s out there being conceptualised in someone’s head, we aren’t giving up our existing devices anytime soon because… we just squeezed out ahead of multiple waves of inflation!
