Within one taxable (not IRA) portfolio, I have $27k in multiple SPY share lots, all long term. Every share lot has turned a significant gain. I would like to consolidate by transferring all of my SPY shares into VOO shares. As these are like ETFs, will my gains still be taxed? I think I know the answer 😏 but would love to hear from this knowledgeable group. Thank you for guidance!
