I think we’re approaching a point where people will start to understand the real downsides of AI.
its climate impact, that is currently worsening our chances of surviving as a species.
how it's hurting earning and skill development, and how it concentrates wealth instead of helping most people make sustainable income.
Historically, society is slow to react to negative side effects of new things (ultra-processed food is a good example). By the time awareness becomes mainstream, the damage is already done.
Are there any companies or sectors that could benefit from a backlash, regulation, or slowdown of AI adoption? I will happily invest in them.
