Hello,
I have only one, **Canadian Banc Corp (**BK.TO). I bought BK.TO on a friend's recommendation, and enrolled it in the DRIP on the same friend's recommendation. Said friend is a very experienced investor, knows more than I do.
How do you decide which of your stocks to enroll in a DRIP? Do some people just choose to participate in DRIP in every available stock they have? Or do people base it on whether or not it's in an tax-deferred account, like an IRA, or in Canada, RRSP or TFSA? Or do they base it on the dividend rate? For example, my current brokerage does not offer partial share DRIPs. But I am considering a different brokerage that does offer that.
I am just asking myself if I should put all my dividend-paying stocks in DRIPs...All of my equities are in tax-deferred accounts at the moment.
Thank you for any insights re: DRIPs.
