I started investing 8 years ago. At the time I had done research and Bogle himself kind of put down ETFs at the time and favored mutual funds. Plus I auto invest every week into them. At that time it wasn't possible to do that with ETFs. You can do this across the board on all ETFs now right (Vanguard)?
I'm invested with Vanguard so is there any reason to keep my mutual funds when they have ETF equivalents? I have mutual funds in taxable and IRAs. Not sure if that makes a difference. Should I convert in both spaces? I'm guessing it's more important to convert within my taxable. Anyone of the opinion I should keep my mutual funds?
My main holdings are VTSAX, VTIAX, and some lesser known index funds- I got when I was new and didn't quite know what I was doing. Here are my complete holdings:
VFIAX, VFTAX, VHYAX, VTIAX, VTSAX, VIOV (ETF).
