When I first opened up my roth IRA I had decided I would do the following to achieve the 3 fund portfolio approach.
I chose charles schwab to hold my Roth IRA:
1. SWPPX
2. VTI
3. SWISX
4. SWAGX
At the time, I thought I was being diverse having both VTI and SWPPX, but now I know VTI has all of the s&p 500 and small cap. So im not adding diversity by having both.
Given the poor performance in charles schwab dividends for 2025, I think it would be best to sell all SWPPX and put that money into VTI. At least when I compare the two, vanguard looked more profitible when comparing the dividends yields and similar money in stocks.
Wanted to get some second opinions on things I might not be considering. Im not an expert.
Thank for your time, I appreciate it!
