I've been tracking VRME for well over a year. My lowbrow strategy is that I begin buying as it drops below $1/share, and then incrementally sell when it pops. My basis is currently pretty low, and I have zero interest in pumping this thing. It is doing it on its own. I am just here to make you aware of it, in case you might want to take a gamble on it.
For context, I think VRME has been the subject of market manipulation when the share price remains below $1/share for an extended period of time. My theory is that when it sits below that $1 mark for a long time, then Nasdaq sends them a letter that warns them that they'll be delisted if it doesn't get up above $1. So then some fuckery happens behind the scenes that pumps the price up. I've been lucky enough to capitalize on that scenario twice now. As such, my current cost basis is pretty low.
The main reason that I think it is "fuckery," is because there are only about 12.44 million shares outstanding, and if we eliminate the insiders and institutions, there are only about 8.72 million shares... And on those days that the fuckery happens, the volume of traded shares reaches 150M+. For example, on December 31, 2024, volume reached 94.16 million; on January 10, 2025 it reached 57.83 million; and on July 31, 2025, volume reached 175.14 million.
Under normal conditions, when the pump-up is not happening, the price of the stock consistently melts its way down.
Now here is the reason for this post and why I think something different is happening right now, which I don't fully understand: volume is not spiking, but the price is creeping up. This leads me to think that something is happening behind the scenes that is causing entities to buy into this thing, which is not yet public knowledge.
The public knowledge that we DO have is that a letter of intent was recently presented that would merge this company with some other company. That news spiked the price of VRME ten days ago, on January 5, 2026. I don't fully understand what this other company does, or how/why that company would fit with Verify Me in any way. This other company brands itself as a "launch partner" for crypto and tokens. I don't know what that means exactly, and I don't understand how that fits with Verify Me's real world logistics business. But nonetheless, that letter of intent was written.
And now, ten days after that news, the price of VRME is creeping up.
The letter of intent says that both parties have 60-days to do their due diligence. So if anything exciting is going to happen, then we should know about it in within 50 days from today.
Good day and good luck!
