Hey everyone, I was checking on some old investments and stumbled across this. I actually almost ignored it because I’ve been getting so many weird settlement emails lately that look like total red flags (sent to spam, sketchy-looking return addresses, etc.), but this one seems to be the real deal for anyone caught up in the SCANA/Deloitte investor suit.
If you held shares in the company during the class period (Feb 2016 - Dec 2017), it’s definitely worth looking into. I know these things take forever, but I’d rather get a bit of my money back than just let the lawyers keep the whole pot.
Instead of clicking a random link in a suspicious email, I checked online and found this site where I could verify it. You can check the details and [see if you’re also eligible here](https://11th.com/cases/deloitte-investor-suit).
A few quick things I noticed:
* The settlement resolves claims that SCANA (and Deloitte with its audits) misled investors about the feasibility and progress of its nuclear expansion project in South Carolina.
* Is it legit? Yeah, the site lets you verify your eligibility based on when you bought/sold your shares. It’s way safer than using a link from a random [assistancefeesettlement.com](http://assistancefeesettlement.com) type email.
* Why bother? If you took a hit on this one, filing a claim is usually pretty straightforward once you have your brokerage statements from that period.
I’m about to start my claim now. From what I see, the claim deadline is April 16, 2026. So, we don’t have much time to do it.
Hope this info helps!
