Thank you for any advice that might be shared.
Currently 32 with a large family. I have a secure job that I love and plan to retire around 55. I will have a pension of approximately 13k -15k a month at that point. It is a state pension, so not 100%, but fairly confident it will be paid out.
I am struggling on how to structure my other investments.
**457 Account** \- I utilize our state retirement as they charge absolutely 0 fees for administration. It is currently a traditional 457, but could convert to Roth if I choose. Only investment options are money market, bond fund, and basically and S&P 500 tracking fund.
Current balance is around - 60k all invested in equity fund.
**403b -** With TIAA with option to do self brokerage. Balance is around 82k. I would love any advice on how to invest this accounting moving forward. Account is currently invested in TIAA growth account. It tracks the Nasdaq pretty closely.
I am currently contributing max to both accounts for tax reasons. I am seriously considering switching everything to Roth due to pension income in retirement years.
**Taxable** \- I do not currently have a taxable brokerage. I have about 100k in liquid cash, but buy and sell raw land that typically exceeds market returns (so far). I also enjoy outdoor activities and I only buy land I would be happy holding long-term for recreational activities.
Any thoughts on how I should balance the 457 and 403b accounts would be wonderful. I am open to any suggestions, but my main thought is whether I should be more aggressive with retirement accounts if I am confident in pension.
Thank you!
