Happy new years Bogleheads!!!! Hope you guys are killing it 2026 and having a good start of the year!
This year I wanted to focus more on my finances and decided to put some horsepower and attention into my Employer 401k which is the obvious big one to tackle.
Background info on me:
Age-30m
Investment strategy - Started my career out of college at 2017. I have always investment into my employer provided 401k program and always ensured I claimed the max employer match ratio (was 4% and has now raised to 6% in 2025). Somewhere I think around 2020-ish I decided to max my yearly contributions out and mentally delete this money from my mind and adjust my lifestyle (some great advice I gotten from my mentors).
I have been very lucky and blessed to have amassed a decent 401k portfolio with the recent growth in the US stock market. But to be brutally honest, I selected some random investment choices to invest in with little research to begin. Around year 2020-ish when I decided to max out my contributions, I decided to shift to a super super aggressive portfolio strategy.
What this meant - I literally just looked for the 2 Large-Cap growth stocks I could find with the highest projected '10-yr return' and simply made the selections of the 2 highest performing ones. So basically.....little research and kinda lazy.
Attached are some information of my portfoilo value, performance, and also investment selections to choose from my employer. The brokerage is Fidelity.
