I view the S&P as a boring stable asset. I think 2021 was a good reminder of how squirly tech can get crushed while true valuation like the S&P can thrive. But once the fund becomes overweight to tech and enters a shiller ratio of 40, it no longer becomes the conservative, rational choice. Can you be a pragmatic, rational investor and own this ETF at this valuation? I understand holding through 2022, but holding through dot com era valuations (and fraud), I think I’m out.
