My parents 67(F) and 66(M) are now both retired (my dad works a couple of days s month) They have a house (worth around $800,000) that they don't plan on selling an will live in for the rest of their lives. Hopefully not needing crazy medical changes.
They have between them around $300,000 in savings accounts. Only HYSA. This is all of their savings, but not including pensions etc which are saying to pay in, let's say $50,000 a year. This is enough for them to live on, more or less.
I have seen alot of posts here suggest investing into bonds at a later stage in life. Do you think this would be a good suggestion for my parents? How would I even show them where to put their money? Or other resources that they could read and learn from? St they moment the flick around at different interests rates trying to find the best ones. I figure investing and forgetting about it would be nicer.
Thanks for any hel!
