After lots of thought and research, especially when seeing everyone around me take mortgages to buy houses (or car credits, which is so stupid to me), it kind of made me self conscious and I felt the peer pressure which made me think:
I really want to have a house of course (who doesn't ?), but I refuse to take any mortgage or debt for that, and mainly for two reasons
\- first because I know myself that I will become a bank slave and a prisoner and it will just destroy me and my health for decades to come (it's crazy to me how people live with the background mental load of having hundreds of thousands or euros of debt in the back of their minds, it just erodes health and steals joy and happiness of life),
\-the second reason is spiritual & religious... in my faith, usury is one of the greatest sins (or the greatest of them all) one can commit even worse than adultery, stealing or gambling, and i don't want to sell my soul for a freaking house... contracting a usury-based contract (either you're in the giving or receiving end of it) ties your soul to darkness and makes you miserable in life and depressed and anxious and addicted to substances ...
I'll just keep renting within my means and invest in one or two good ETFs for 20+ years supplying it monthly with as much money as I can and let the compounding work and do its magic and that's it, and in the meantime try to live my life and be happy as much as I can.
Fuck banks and fuck mortgages, I'm a free man and they won't get me as their slave.
I'll just do as I can within my means and that's it, simple as that !
Anyone who is like me here ? anyone who has a different perspective ?
