Hi Bogleheads,
I’m ready to start investing, but I don’t want to overcomplicate it. I’m aiming for a simple, boring, long-term setup I can stick with through good markets and ugly ones.
If you had to pick only 3 index funds for a basic portfolio, which would you recommend and why? I’m guessing something like US total stock, international total stock, and total bond, but I’d love to hear what you’d pick and the reasoning behind it (coverage, diversification, cost, simplicity).
For context: I’m investing for the long term, I want low fees, and I’d rather automate contributions than tinker.
Thanks in advance.
