I’ve been in the market a little over a decade now, and what I’m seeing lately feels very familiar.
Prices aren’t collapsing, but they’re also not moving with the same conviction we saw earlier. Fundamentals for many large-cap names still look fine on paper, but valuation + expectations are doing a lot of the heavy lifting right now.
From experience, this is usually the kind of environment where:
Chasing strength gets punished
Breakouts fail more often than they work
Patience matters more than being “right”
I’ve learned (the hard way) that when sentiment gets split like this, I do better scaling in slowly, keeping cash ready, and treating rallies as something to manage not something to FOMO into.
Right now, I’m mostly:
Staying selective
Trimming into strength
Adding only on pullbacks to levels I’m comfortable holding through volatility
Not trying to predict the next headline, just reacting to price and risk.
Curious how others here are navigating this market
Are you adding, trading ranges, or mostly waiting things out?
